Hillson, established in 1980 by Mr. Rambabu Agarwal, has evolved to become one of the largest manufacturers and exporters of Industrial Safety Shoes and Gumboots, embodying values of integrity, resilience, and passion. Hillson’s journey is now driven forward with the vision of his sons, Mr Nitin Agarwal and Mr Sachin Agarwal who have transformed it into a global leader in safety footwear.

Hillson’s extensive range of footwear includes Safety Footwear and Gumboots, with options tailored for both men and women. These safety shoes and gumboots are crafted with reinforced toes and durable materials, providing essential protection from various workplace hazards. Engineered to meet stringent safety standards, Hillson footwear is vital Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in industrial and construction sites, safeguarding workers from risks such as airborne particles, hazardous chemicals, electrical hazards, heavy objects, and biohazards.

From the very beginning, his approach went beyond products. He built Hillson on relationships — valuing trust over transactions, and ensuring that no business was ever done at the cost of integrity. His guiding principle, “Never keep someone’s money,” became a cornerstone of the company’s culture.

Rambabu’s forward-thinking vision was matched by his deep commitment to people — from employees and partners to customers and communities. He saw opportunity where others saw obstacles, and he instilled in the next generation a balance of ambition, ethics, and adaptability.

NITIN AGARWAL

SACHIN AGARWAL

Sachin’s journey in business began at 17, driven not by obligation, but by an instinct to understand people — what drives them, what earns their trust, and how to inspire action.

From the very beginning, he built his career on a simple belief: sales is not about pushing products, it’s about building leaders. Over the years, this belief has shaped how he leads teams — never spoon-feeding, always challenging, and ensuring people grow into self-reliant, future-ready professionals.

Known for his sharp market instincts and ability to connect with people across geographies, Sachin brings both energy and discipline to everything he does. His focus is not just on results, but on cultivating resilience, decision-making, and leadership at every level of an organisation.

Driving Industry Growth

1980-89

A son coming from the beautiful city of hills, Mr Rambabu Agarwal laid the foundation for the shoes business on the pillars of Integrity, customer-centricity, and care for people. Though the business. started small, the vision for the future was big. The iconic long gumboot WELCOME launched in 1986 proved to be a turning point, for Hillson to expand rapidly in the safety market.

1990-99

To expand their market from manufacturing only men's gumboots to ladie's and kids, the elder son, Mr Nitin Agarwal, along-side his education, joined the business to learn manufacturing. His aspirations took a flight, and he travelled around the world to envision the growth of Hillson.

2000-09

Soon his younger sibling, Mr Sachin Agarwal, took the responsibility of the sales and marketing department in the business. After initial learning, the young men started taking leaps of faith one after the other. In 2005, a manufacturing facility was established in Bahadurgarh, where advanced step machines were imported to produce safety shoes and steel-toe gumboots. These efforts marked a shift toward ambitious growth. adhering to global safety standards.

2010-19

In their pursuit of expanding market share, Hillson made a strategic decision to establish a manufacturing facility in Bahadurgarh. This move allowed the company to scale operations and meet the growing demand for high-quality footwear. The factory contributed significantly to Hillson's ability to dominate the safety footwear market.

2025...

Expanding the product range, enhancing manufacturing capabilities, increasing market share, and strengthening the team transformed the Bahadurgarh factory into a facility with an installed capacity of over 25,000 pairs of footwear per day. With this solid foundation, Hillson set its sights on innovation, realizing it was time to embrace something new and experience the magic.
